Trench

Select Trench from the takeoff combo, the takeoff popup menu or the takeoff menu to view or digitize trenches. All trenches are assumed to be proposed.

Trench volumes have no effect on the cut and fill volumes at the Calculations Tab. Trench volumes and details are reported separately by selecting Trench and Trench Definition under the Reports menu.

When starting to digitize the first trench, the Define Trench dialog will appear and must be completed prior to entering the first point. If Copy Trench Definitions is selected, subsequent trenches will be identical to the first. If it is not selected, the Define Trench Dialog will appear for each trench.
