What BidPoint XL does.
BidPoint XL is a Microsoft Excel add in for quantity takeoff from paper plans. A GTCO/CalComp digitizer tablet connects to your PC; you trace the drawing with the stylus and the area, length, or count is written to the active Excel cell. Same Excel workflow as BidScreen XL, with a digitizer as the input device instead of an on-screen drawing.
Digitizer-based takeoff is now uncommon. The industry has moved to on-screen takeoff from PDF and AutoCAD DWG, which is what BidScreen XL covers.
