Import CAD

SiteWorx/OS can import entities from dwg files for use as contour lines, area elevations and point elevations. Contour Lines: On the takeoff tab , select Contour Lines and Existing or Proposed . Selec

SiteWorx/OS can import entities from dwg files for use as contour lines, area elevations and point elevations.

Contour Lines:

    • On the takeoff tab, select Contour Lines and Existing or Proposed.
    • Select the correct layers to display only the desired lines.
    • Press Import CAD.
    • The Z-axis dimension is used as the elevation.
    • All displayed polyline and line entities will be imported.

Area Elevations:

    • On the takeoff tab, select Area Elevations and Existing or Proposed.
    • Select the correct layers to display only the desired lines.
    • Press Import CAD.
    • All displayed polyline entities will be imported.
    • The Z-axis dimension is used as the elevation.
    • If the imported polyline is not closed, SiteWorx/OS will close the area.

Point Elevations:

    • On the takeoff tab, select Point Elevations and Existing or Proposed.
    • Select the correct layers to display only the desired lines.
    • Press Import CAD.
    • All displayed point entities will be imported.
    • The Z-axis dimension is used as the elevation.
