Print Preview

Prior to printing a report, the Print Preview window is displayed. This allows examination of the report. The window has three main areas, a toolbar at the top, a preview panel at the lower right, and

Prior to printing a report, the Print Preview window is displayed. This allows examination of the report. The window has three main areas, a toolbar at the top, a preview panel at the lower right, and a thumbnail panel at the lower left. The thumbnail panel does not display for single page reports.

The toolbar contains the following functions, divided into 5 sections.

Zoom:

    • Zoom Fit: displays the full page in the preview panel.
    • Zoom Width: fits the width of the page in the preview panel.
    • Zoom 100%: Zooms the page to full size.
    • Zoom Pick: Allows selection of zooms from 50% to 200%.

Page Selection (These buttons a disabled for single page reports):

    • First Page: displays the first page of the report.
    • Previous Page: displays the page previous to the current page.
    • Next Page: displays the page after the current page.
    • Last Page: displays the last page of the report.
    • Select Page: displays a dialog allowing a specific page to be displayed.

Print

    • Print: prints the report.
    • Cancel: cancels a report while printing.

Export

    • Export: exports the report to a file. Various formats including TXT, RTF, PDF, XLSX are provided.
    • Header & Footer: if checked the report header and footer wil be exported. If not checked, they will not. Vertigraph suggests that this be checked for text type exports and not checked for spreadsheet type exports.

Exit

    • Exit: closes the preview window.

Thumbnail Panel

The thumbnail panel displays a thumbnail of each page. The currently previewed page is highlighted. Click on the page to preview it.
