Soil Analysis Tab

This tab displays site cross sections through the boring logs or along user defined cross section lines or trenches. The Selection Toolbar controls the choice of the cross section(s) displayed. Boring

Soil Analysis Tab

This tab displays site cross sections through the boring logs or along user defined cross section lines or trenches. The Selection Toolbar controls the choice of the cross section(s) displayed.

Boring Log:

Use the navigation buttons on the Navigation toolbar to select the desired log. The log being displayed is shown above the navigation buttons.

The left side of the display shows data related to the boring log:

    • Notes associated with the boring log.
    • The Layers associated with the log.
    • A display of the takeoff grid and project boundary showing the location of the log.
    • A list of Soil Types as a legend to the cross sections.

On the right side of the display are two cross sections. At the top is a horizontal cross section. Below that is a vertical cross section. The vertical black lines indicate the location of the boring log. The red line shows the depth of the cut.

Line/Trench:

Soil Analysis Line

The left side of the display shows data related to the cross section:

    • A list of lines/trenches for selection.
    • A display of the takeoff grid and project boundary showing the location of the line/trench.
    • A list of Soil Types as a legend to the cross sections.

On the right side of the display one cross secton is displayed. The points of the line or trench are numbered and shown on the cross section. Then end point numbers are shown on the boundary/grid line display.

There are three toolbars at the top of the tab.

Used to slect the type of cross section displayed.

Navigation

Soil Analysis Navigation

The navigation bar isused to select the boring log. The boring log being displayed is shown on the toolbar. Not available if Lines or Trenches selected.
