Calculated results are based on the information entered. Go to the 3D View Tab to see if the site appears proper. Look at the site in Plan View, both Proposed and Existing. Try displaying Out of Bounds. If the 3D View looks incorrect, click on the Takeoff Tab to review each item digitized.
- Is the project boundary correctly defined? Are there extra boundaries? Is the boundary closed?
- Are digitized regions properly identified as Included or Excluded region?
- Are Topsoil Strip and Re spread depths correct?
- Are Points, Areas, and Contour Lines correctly identified as Proposed or Existing?
- Are the elevations correct?
- Are areas types properly defined? Is the layer information correct?
Make changes to items selected at the Takeoff Tab by first selecting the item using the Select Object tool and then changing the properties, elevations and layers (i.e. sub grades) on the right side of the window. After changing properties click on the green check mark to record the change.
At times it is easier to use the Examine feature to scan through the takeoff objects. For example if the objects color does not contrast with the background drawing. Areas with fewer than three points, will not show on the takeoff and can only be found using the examine feature.
