Pressing the Align Grid button displays the Align Grid Dialog. The grid may be aligned to the project boundaries, a selected point, or reset. When using multiple drawings, the button is only enabled when the first drawing is loaded.

To reset the grid to its initial state, press the Align Grid button, select "Reset to 0" and press OK.
To align the grid to a project boundary, press the Align Grid button, then select "to Boundary." Select the horizontal and vertical alignments from the displayed lists and then press OK.
To align the grid to a point in the takeoff, first select the point using the selection tool. The point may be an elevation point, a corner of an area, a corner of a boundary, a corner of a topsoil strip or re spread area, or a point on a contour line. When the desired point is selected, select Project Boundary from the Takeoff list, press the Align Grid button, then select "to Point". The type and coordinates of the selected point will be displayed. If these are correct press OK.
If aligning to a point or to a boundary corner, the option to offset the alignment by 1/2 grid is available. If the option is checked, the grid is aligned with the selected point at the center of a grid square. If the option is not checked, the grid is aligned with the selected point at the corner of a grid square.
