Trenches

This error occurs when the bottom of the trench is above the proposed elevation. Caused by improper proposed elevations or improper trench invert elevations. Check Takeoff.

This error is only occurs for pipe/conduit trenches when calculating cut/fill. It happens when the minimum trench depth plus the invert elevation is above the selected surface elevation. The calculation assume that the minimum fill will be made to bring the surface to the minimum depth plus inver elevation. The minimum trench depth is the bottom bedding plus pipe diamater plus top bedding,
Boring Logs

The Residual Cut information message occurs when the cut as calculated by the surface model exceeds the depth of the strata calculated from the boring logs. The cause is probably an error in one of the boring logs closest the error point. It can also be caused by an erroneous existing or proposed elevation in the vicinity.

This message occurs after one or more residual cut messages and indicates the cut by strata information is not valid.
