SiteWorx/OS provides four selections for the surface elevation used in calculating Trench Cut and Fill for Pipe/Conduit trenches.
- Proposed Elevation: Use this option if trenches are excavated after site work is complete. (This is the elevation used in previous versions of the program.)
- Proposed Elevation before Topsoil Respread: Use this option if trenches are excavated after the site work is completed, but before topsoil is respread.
- After Cut, Before Fill: Uses the proposed elevation, before topsoil respread, where there is cut. and the existing elevation, after topsoil strip, where there is fill. Use this option if trenches are excavated after site cuts are made, but before site fills are completed.
- Existing Elevation after Topsoil Strip: Use this option if trenches are excavated first.
Vee Bottom and Flat Bottom Drains always use the proposed elevation before topsoil respread as the surface elevation.
The default value for new projects is Proposed Elevation. To change the default, select the desired value, then select select Setup/Save Takeoff Properties from the Options Menu. Check Trench on the dialog and press the OK button.
