Editing Takeoff Objects

All takeoff objects can be edited. Start by selecting a takeoff object . Right click to display the popup menu and select edit. The takeoff object will be displayed in its normal colors. Areas and Reg

Start by selecting a takeoff object. Right click to display the popup menu and select edit. The takeoff object will be displayed in its normal colors. Areas and Regions will be displayed without a fill pattern. The cursor is changed to a circle with diagonal lines. takeoff edit cursor

When editing an object, points can be moved, deleted, inserted and changed to arcs. Exceptions are as follows:

    • Point Elevations and Boring Logs - points can only be moved.
    • Contour Lines, Design Lines and Cross Section Lines - Points can only be deleted if there are more than two.
    • Areas and Regions - Points can only be deleted if there are more than three.
    • Cross Section Lines - Arcs are not allowed.

When editing an object, elevations can be changed for area points, design line points and trench points.

For further discussion see:

    • Move Point
    • Insert Point
    • Delete Point
    • Change to Arc
    • Change Elevation
    • Undo

When finished editing the object, right click to display the popup menu. Select OK to stop editing and save the changes. Select Cancel to stop editing and discard the changes.
