The Properties Dialog provides a means to enter elevations and object properties during the takeoff. The dialog varies according to the takeoff. If the Cancel button is pressed, the takeoff will be aborted. If the "Do not show dialog again" box is checked, Properties Dialogs will not be displayed until they are enabled via the Options Menu.
Contour Lines

The dialog will appear after the first point of a contour line is entered. Enter the elevation and click the OK button or press the Enter key. The up and down buttons can be used to add or subtract the Elevation Step from the displayed elevation. The increase elevation and decrease elevation shortcut keys defined at the main window will also work. See Contour Line Properties for more information.
Point Elevations

The dialog will appear after each point is entered. Enter the desired elevation and click the OK button or press the Enter key. For more information, see Point Elevation Properties.
Area Elevations

The dialog will appear after the first point of an area. Enter the desired elevation and area type and click the OK button or press the Enter key. For Surface and Basement areas, the Area Elevation dialog will appear for subsequent points of the area. For more information, see Area Elevation Properties.
Trenches

The dialog will appear after the first point of a trench. Enter the desired invert elevation, define the trench parameters and click the OK button or press the Enter key.See Trench Properties Dialog for a further discussion of the dialog. The Trench Elevation dialog will appear for subsequent points of the trench.
Design Lines

The dialog will appear after the first point of a design line is entered. Enter the elevation and click the OK button or press the Enter key. The up and down buttons can be used to add or subtract the Elevation Step from the displayed elevation. The increase elevation and decrease elevation shortcut keys defined at the main window will also work. The Design Line Elevation dialog will appear for subsequent points of the design line. Boring Logs

The dialog will appear after the each point is entered. See Boring Log Entry for a full discussion on entering boring logs.
Length Measurement

The dialog will appear after the first point of a length measurement. Select the desired properties for the measurement and click the OK button or press the Enter key. See Length Measurement Properties for more information.
