Entering Elevations

Elevations can be entered two ways, before the item is taken off, or during the takeoff.

To enter the elevation before the takeoff, use the Elevation box

at the top of the takeoff window, then do the takeoff.

To enter elevations during the takeoff, select Show Properties/Elevation Dialog on the Options Menu and the Properties Dialog will display after a point is entered. The elevation can be entered at that time. The object properties can also be changed. For Areas, Design Lines and Trenches an elevation dialog will display for points after the first.

Note that the elevation dialog is not displayed until the left mouse button is released. When tracing, this means the elevation dialog is not displayed until tracing is completed.
