Overview

BidScreen lets you view and measure digitized drawings from image and CAD files while working in any Microsoft Excel workbook. Measuring items involves these steps after opening an Excel workbook:

• Select the cell where you want the measurement recorded.
• Open or select the drawing file.
• Set the scale, if not already established.
• Select the type of measurement
  Count
  Section Length
  Continuous Length
  Area
• Make the measurement on the drawing.

Prior to using BidScreen XL, it must be added to Excel. Once added there will be a BidScreen XL menu and toolbar available in Excel to use the software.

Bidscreen XL stores takeoff information in cell comments. For a description of cell comments see the section in Other Information.
