How do I work with vector PDFs and AutoCAD DWG files?

Show the Layer List, hide non-relevant layers (or use Select Layers to isolate one from the drawing), then turn Select Layers OFF before measuring. Turn Snap to Entity Point ON to snap to actual line endpoints; with Select Entity ON, a single click captures an entire polyline. Note: AutoCAD DWG files use drawing units, not scale.
